ABOUT LIANA (SHE/HER)
Liana Mora is a Vice President within United Minds and is based in Chicago, Illinois.
Liana brings to United Minds more than a decade of experience managing websites, building organizations’ digital brand identities and telling stories of complicated work in innovative, resonant and human-centered ways. Her career has included work in the financial, nonprofit and consulting sectors. She is propelled by a love of storytelling, a deep interest in—and comfort with—digital tools, and a constant desire to venture beyond her comfort zone.
As Vice President, Marketing and Business Development, Liana leads United Minds’ strategic marketing and business development strategy, building and executing against digital, social media, content marketing and event strategies to bring the United Minds’ brand to life. Prior to United Minds, Liana led marketing at Gagen MacDonald, a firm focused on helping companies lead through the human struggle of change.
Previously, Liana was the Digital Marketing Manager for LEAP Innovations, a Chicago-based education nonprofit. At LEAP, she led the creation of digital content, from strategic planning to production, all while the organization transitioned from a startup to a national nonprofit. She began her career at Million Dollar Round Table, a global, membership-based financial association, where she developed, implemented and maintained comprehensive social and digital marketing strategies to align with the organization’s overall brand and content strategy, helping to grow the brand on a domestic and global level.
Liana holds a bachelors’ degree in News/Internet Journalism, with a minor in English, from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Additionally, she holds a masters’ degree in Multicultural and Organizational Communication, with a focus in healthcare communication and the inequities therein, from DePaul University in Chicago.
