ABOUT EMILY (she/her)
Emily Caruso is an experienced corporate communications and business strategist. She specializes in helping organizations to identify and successfully leverage opportunities to improve the employee experience and increase productivity, with a focus on navigating complex environments.
Recently, Emily led an organization-wide initiative at a national healthcare provider designed to improve agility, and she provided strategic guidance for one of the top announced technology acquisitions of 2018.
Prior to United Minds, Emily managed global marketing and communications for McKinsey & Company’s Org Solutions business. In addition to supporting internal stakeholders and clients in the areas of leadership, organizational effectiveness, corporate governance and workforce analytics, Emily contributed to the development of new tools and approaches for achieving the business goals of change and designing culture to improve performance. Emily also led McKinsey’s “Organizational Science Initiative,” a partnership with Gallup connecting over 600 Chief Human Resources Officers from leading global businesses to share ideas and approaches to best build the workforce of the future.
Emily began her career in corporate communications, creating and executing comprehensive strategies for two Fortune 100 companies: GE and Lockheed Martin. At both places, she helped senior leaders to build brand equity through thought leadership and earned and paid media; developed materials to enable commercial success; and managed employee communications on both an on-going basis and related to significant events, including CEO transitions, M&A and restructuring activities, community relations, and milestone celebrations.
Emily earned her MBA from Yale School of Management.
